Local stylist opens Lawrence boutique to help women in need

This great story is brought to us by Erika Tarantal from 5 For Good.

A local stylist just opened a boutique in Lawrence catering to women in need. Her goal is to build confidence one outfit at a time.

"We are really about empowering women," saidSusan Kanoff, the woman behind what’s actually a clothing program.

A wardrobe stylist, Kanoff has also been a social worker in for more than 20 years. This boutique is a natural progression for her.

"My private clients started giving me clothes for my social work clients" Kanoff said. "I'd start racks in my office, of clothing, and when my clients would come in, I'd always help dress them, give them clothes and eventually I just ran out of space." Read the rest of this story:
